I have a V6 and it is also 4-wheel drive.

the noise is engine noise picked up by the RCA's for your sub. You can buy an engine noise blocker or something that connects to the wires. not sure how else to fix it but I think that is your problem.

I know that older 4runners get bad gas mileage but I was just wondering how many miles some of you can go on a full tank of gas. I only get about 200 miles with a full tank and was just wondering if that is below average fuel economy for a 2nd gen 4runner.

thanks for the ebay thing that is exactly what I'm looking for but I would rather buy from the manufacturer or dealer not some guy off ebay. if anyone knows what company makes one like this please tell me. Here are some bigger pictures from that ebay page.

they might fit but the only real way to find out is just to try putting them on. I bought some rims that fit a Tundra and had the same lug pattern as mine but the hubs on my truck were too big and the rims wouldn't fit. hope this helps some

I found this picture today and I really like the bull bar on the front but I do not know what brand it is. Do any of you know or know of one that looks similar? :confused:

I was right I just plugged the RCA's into the wrong adapters. The sub sounds really good. I did not expect this much bass to come out of such a little box.

Ok guys I got everything wired and plugged in but when I turn on the stereo, the amp powers on but no sound comes out. I think I got the RCA's mixed up when I plugged them into the headunit. I thought I would ask you guys first though before I take the headunit back out to switch them.

When I was connecting the wire that goes from the battery to the amp, I had to use the grommet on the drivers side of the firewall (the opposite side that the battery is on) and I realized that the wire would not reach all the way to the back of the truck. It is about a foot too short. Is...

thanks guys. As of right now I don't know what my headunit has. I'll just have to see when I put the sub in. I found some directions with the sub but they aren't very helpful. I'll be asking for more help if I can't figure it out.
