can you tell me how can the starter contacts can cause backfire ,lack of power ,smoke ??? I think about fuel/air mixture problem but not about starter problem???:confused:

1. Are all the original heat shields intact? yes 2.Has the engine air intake ducting been modified or damaged? look good 3. Are the fuel hoses missing insulation or routed near hot parts of the engine? like new 4. Does the engine seem to run hot, like the cooling system is not doing its job...

i have a strange problem whit my 88 4runner v6 3L automatic cold start:no problem hot driving:no problem when i stop it for about 30-60 minutes and restart it :confused: no power,back fire,smoke,stall:confused: for about 60 second or till it came hot... it have somting a chould check ,test or...
