I've seen siphon tube kits made of a stiff but flexible tubing (sort of like PEX tubing) that can sneak past the baffle on many vehicles. I was wondering if anybody here has ever had any luck with something like those. Or does the tube get hung up in the elbow portion ?

. Good to hear you're happy with the way it tows. I used to have a 2009 FJ Cruiser that was all stock except for some air bags and I could tow around 4800 pounds reasonably well. But in the power department it was slightly lacking with that much weight.

. Thanks for your reply ... this is my first new vehicle in a while that didn't come with locking lug nuts. Maybe because I saw it on the inventory sheet while it was still on the ship and ordered it ? So it didn't sit on the lot and the dealer didn't worry about the wheels getting ripped off ...

. Yep, same thing as my brother-in-law. His 2017 has seen him do a half dozen oil changes himself. He still has the OE filter housing and he did strongly advise the cap socket tool to prevent damage. Almost time for my 2021's first oil change ... now time to go get one of those tools.

Yes, I like the WIX brand filters. Been using them for 25+ years on all my vehicles. Will likely be using them on my new 4Runner ...
