I just heard from the dealer and they said the no 4 coil was failing and that the plugs were worn down. The plugs in there aren't even a year old, but I told them to go ahead and change them out. $350. The service manager told me the same thing you just said re: a bad head gasket.

Hopefully that's not the case, but if it is a bad head gasket I might not have a choice but to trade it in. I do love my truck and its brought me through hell and back, but I can't justify the 2-3k they'll want when I can put that down on a new Camry or Prious. I'll report back as soon as I...
