I guess it's time for some more updates now that i've revived this thread.. Coastal rear bumper is off and sold locally. Holy hell was that thing heavy! I went with the Ascend Fabrications rear DIY bumper kit... not the cheapest (though all the prices have gone up) but I was SUPER impressed...

    CV Axle Problem After Install

if you haven't already figured it out you're fine. both of mine have play (and had it since OEM axles). as long as your seal is seated roughly where it needs to be everything is going to stay nice and dry.

Extended Lower Control Arms for 4th Gen?

I think the only out of touch with reality thing here is you (no offense of course).. you're standing to have to spend $5-10k to go long travel but looking to save a couple of hundred bucks on some LCA's that you think are more reasonably priced..?

    Pearl's mod/build LT rear/DK +3.5 LT/Custom Baja Bumper/Thorley Headers/Manual T-case

that's very likely due to the way the gears are cut. It could just be a partial tooth break. I could be wrong.. but I would legitimately be surprised if the sound wasn't directly from a hurt ring gear.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Didn’t like how dim these new taillights are in the day light when the running lights are on so added a bit more of a visible “hey, this 7k lb pig is stopping” visual lol Ps, looks dim in pics but it’s super bright in person, especially since it only lights on braking Sent from my iPhone...

    Pearl's mod/build LT rear/DK +3.5 LT/Custom Baja Bumper/Thorley Headers/Manual T-case

Couple of post trip updates: Came across a tuned v8 ecu from MBP tuned , verdict still out for more seat time, but first impressions are solid. Crisper shift with better shift points, feels more peppy and has potential for slight increase in hw mpg. Also decided that my brake lights are a bit...
