Yeah, the pic with all the circles is the tire they had to remove from the rim to repair a slow leak. It's obvious they just tossed it around and placed it on a metal/hard surface with no care at all to protect the wheel. Disappointing to say the least! +1 on the tire guy!!

Here's a picture ... but basically it clips to the upper and lower lips in front of the vent. As you can see ... plenty of room to still keep the vent functional. There are two thin strips of double sided tape that keep it solid and avoids any scratching. You sort of just pinch it into place...

The pictures are a little deceiving as they are blown up a bit so just to clarify ... the original chip was the size of a dime. The large circle and lines you see around the center are actually the resin. I'll probably call the insurance company Monday and send them the pictures anyway...
