    Side Marker Pigtail info needed

Of all things, over 2 years later, I needed this exact same part again for the other side. Ended up referencing my own thread, and buying the repair terminals this time, about $20 from the local dealer. Expensive but saved me a lot of time searching. This time I actually had the plug to work...

need some input on a 2000 4R please.

Sounds kinda junky to me. I gave $4650 for a 2000 Limited with nothing like the problems you mention from a used car dealer, so that guy is out of his mind on the price in my opinion. If it was like a super good deal it might be worth it to make some repairs and fix it up, doesn't sound like...

    Brakes seize when applying slowly

Have a similar issue I was debating posting about, minus the hissing. Strange what rare times anything goes bad on my Runner, seems others have run into it as well. I replaced the check valve/grommet to no effect, but at around $50 it was worth a shot. Booster itself is my next target I...

    Airmapper's Build: 2000 Limited

No Runner related activity to post, which is a good thing usually meaning no problems. Took the Runner camping for the first time, a break from the commuter role this once. If I was about a foot shorter, it would be more comfortable, but all in all not bad. Those other vehicles are my friends...

    Airmapper's Build: 2000 Limited

Since my last post I did not opt for the upgraded bumper. Insurance took care of it, and since it was the part specified per the VIN a painted bumper was put back on so it now looks like a Limited should from the front. Recently it developed a Cylinder #2 misfire, my first thought was...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Yes. I found if you touch it before the engine warms up it will only go down. Like it knows it can't reach that temp and says nope. I set it on 75 usually but whatever it's at don't touch nothing. On cold mornings, when the engine reaches temp it starts to blow warm air.

    Airmapper's Build: 2000 Limited

Well this happened on my way home from work yesterday: If you can see the hair you know what did it. I'm torn, I really didn't want to turn this runner into a project, but deep down I want to so bad. The plan was to keep it stock, and enjoy the unburdened mpg's, smooth driving, and...

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

hahaha maybe if they were in there. They were never put in the last time the 4runner took a hit (before I owned it) I did pick up some hardware of the road, don't know where it came from.

    Roof mounted NMO antenna

Weather kind of sucks for projects now but this has been on my mind. Has anyone installed a NMO antenna connection on the roof of a 3rd gen and care to share any tips or tricks? Everyone cringes at the idea, but yes, I actually might drill a hole in the roof. A good NMO install does not...

On my way to an interview in my daily driver,......ball joint failure

Sucks man, hope it's not too much hassle getting back on all 4's. And this is my monthly reminder to replace my LBJ's. They are in the garage, brand spanking new, in a box, and I'm driving around on some I'm sure have 250k on them....I'd say I like to live dangerously, but in reality I'm a...

    Light Pod Fog Light Replacements

Nice mod. I want to do something similar myself, but would like to find a cheaper alternative given nobody threw me any Rigids.

    Driveline noise with rotation.

Just got finished, it was bone dry. Some joints took 3-4 pumps before I could even tell it was filling up. The sliding joints probably took half a tube. The noise is gone now, but I'll be watching it after a few trips to town and back. So if this turns up in search, the nose you hear in the...

    Driveline noise with rotation.

Glad you guys think so as well. The other stuff I was reading suggested pinion bearing which did not sound fun. It really sounds like it's coming from behind the T-case instead of the rear end though. I think I'm going to pick up some grease tonight close to the specs I found in a how to...
