Anchorage is $2.50 for the cheap stuff ... too bad AK does not have a refinery... seems kinda stupid :bash: to pump the crude to Lower 48 and then pump it back UP to AK again:confused:
:awais: >>> I Live in Chugiak, AK. Trust me ... you'll prefer to have the studs when winter hits. I have studded Nokians and they are well worth the $$$.
For summer I got the standard 265/65/17
For Winter I got Studded Nokians 275/60/17 ... perfect fit.. no rubbing or bumping...

Anyone has a set of rims for sale ? Looking for a spare set to be picked up in san Francisco area? or Anchorage, AK?
Excellent condition and no warped or cracked rims. 4 rims is all I need
THANKS:awais:
Well ... if it saves on gas and ride quility is even marginally better ... I'll go with the alloys.
No 24" rims... LOL no tire mfg makes 24" studded tires. maybe they make them for winter tractors or backhoes of some kind.. or chevy caprices.
Anyone has any brand preferences for 17"...
Was at the store looking at some rims and the steel ones are ALOT heavier than the alloy rims. Does anyone know if the difference in rolling weight for all 4 rims have a significance impact on gas mileage for my SR5 V6?
Thanks again to ALL!! :bigok:

Wife was able to start the truck 10 mins later, turned it off and was able to start it with no battery...

toto -Forgot about the spare. !! Will climb under the rig and see if that is the culprit.

Installed Nokian Hakkapeliita 275/60/17 studded tires. Side walls recommend 40-44lbs PSI. Tires are pumpeed to 40lbsPSI. TMPS ligh is on. Should UI frop the pressure to 32lbs PSI? Does the TMPS come on if the pressure is too high?
Any one tried it at 40lbs PSI?
thanks all !!!
