    I want daytime running lights

Thanks LINY, I'll give that a try. Something tells me though that the lights on my '98 don't shut off with the key (at least there's a buzzer to remind me, love that). I'll double check the next time I get in. Kelly - that's a good point about the brake lights during the day... didn't even...

    I want daytime running lights

Thank you... that was painful. I will look into alternative methods but thanks for the offer of the schematic. I've grown used to the daytime running lights if anyone is that interested to know (or that offended that I would actually want them). It's not about being lazy, it's more about not...

    I want daytime running lights

I know this seems backwards, when I ran a search every post was about how to disable DRL's but my '98 from the US doesn't have them. We've had them on all vehicles here in Canada for a long time now it seems and I find myself turning on my lights during the day and would rather the DRL system do...

SUCCESS! This is the trial & error history for chasing this gremlin. Toyota dealership in Quebec were unsuccessful, they tried the following: -new fuel filter -new oil pressure switch -new spark plugs -new spark plug cables I was unsuccessful with the following cheap fix attempts: -cleaned...

    No cruise control sometimes

Ditto Same with mine, I was gonna try taking apart the controls today but who knows where the problem is... This would be a place to start maybe: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/55760-cruise-control-clutch-pedal.html

    SBF V8 Conversion

That's an idea. It's either rebuild my motor one of these days and boost it (SC, turbo, or other) or else put a workhorse V8 in that'll never die... I haven't read of many guys building a custom turbo for their 3.4's...

    SBF V8 Conversion

Hmmmm... Well I'm not gonna be too worried about ignition, that will likely be stand-alone and not the stock computer. I'm alright at fabricating so the mounts shouldn't be too tough. However, the adapter for the 5speed is not something I can tackle. So, someone has made one to fit the 2nd Gen...

    SBF V8 Conversion

Guys, When I had my '92 T4R I researched the possiblility of putting a 5.0L small block Ford and there were conversion parts available (motor mounts, 5speed transmission adapters, etc.) but there doesn't seem to be much available for my '98 3rd Gen. Does anyone know of anything out there or...

    Clutch free play

Thanks, I'll try bleeding it and if that doesn't help I'll try the rod adjustment. Cheers!

    Clutch free play

Guys, I've searched this 3rd gen forum but I can't seem to find any kind of "How To" on adjusting the free play in the clutch for the V6 5-speed. Or is it so easy it doesn't even need its own how-to? I've never adjusted one before, any help would be appreciated... Thanks! ,Marc

    Ebay lights

Thanks guys, defenitely going to do the clear corners 'n signals but I'll hold off on the tails until I've seen them... they really only look good on maybe 10% of vehicles on the road so I don't want to waste my money.
