    2 year free maintenance

Actually, maybe hofs05's dealership actually reads the Toyota service letters/advisories. Toyota did send a letter dated December 15, 2009 that revised the oil change intervals to every 10k for a V6 4R. My dealership was unaware until I said something about how funny it was that the oil change...

    XM back on

XM is running a promotion where the radio will be on free for 2 weeks, May 25-June7. If you want to keep it on, you can get 5 months of service for $20. We got a letter in the mail, I assume for the XM radio that is in my husband's car (we don't subscribe in that vehicle).

Cloth VS Leather Seats VS Dogs

RJS-T4R: I paid a lot for the liner, $350, but really feel it was worth the money to protect what I spent on my dog hauler. It's great quality and fits really well. Check out my link to cargoliner.com in an earlier post. As to the hair issue, I just vacuum the back out and wipe down the leather.

Cloth VS Leather Seats VS Dogs

I got my liner last week. It works great! For those with the sliding tray, you can still use it normally. There is a separate peice for the tray itself. I also got a bumper cover and a piece to cover the tailgate/hatch/below the rear window (I couldn't get a good photo of that). I need to send...

    Backup Camera?

Apparently it is difficult to find the backup camera on a Mag Grey SR5. I have a grey SR5 and had the camera installed after purchase instead of waiting for a special order grey. My dealer couldn't locate a grey one with the camera. I agree that the sensors are great. The camera isn't really...

Cloth VS Leather Seats VS Dogs

Yes, the liner will cover the sliding cargo tray. It sounds like it will be able to flip back if you want to use the tray, but not entirely sure (I've talked to the company several times about how it might work - they were having trouble locating a 4R with the cargo tray to work from/make a...

Cloth VS Leather Seats VS Dogs

I have an SR5 with leather and two dogs. I have always had leather (in sedans) with dogs - and it definitely takes a beating. This leather seems soft, and I am afraid that they will tear it, so the dogs ride in the back. I have the Walky Guard pet barrier up so they can't jump onto the seats...

    City / Hwy

I had cruise set at 75 mph. I didn't do much passing and the roads were pretty flat - I was driving in Iowa and Minnesota. Oh, and I've been hand calculating and that has always matched up, as it did this trip.

    City / Hwy

Took a 600 mile trip out of town this weekend and was anxious to see my MPG go up. Started at 19.4 MPG, with about 1200 miles on my 4R at that point (I normally drive about 75% city/25% highway). On my way out of town, I watched my MPG drop into the 16 range, and end at 17.7 when I got to my...

    Future 4Runner owner!

I'm in the midwest (Iowa) and the dealer here had a TE. If you really want the TE, thedn whatever dealer you use will get it for you from another dealership. My dealer brought my SR5 from 4 hours away. Get what you want! That said, I love my SR5!

    Potential New Owner

Get the 4WD! There was no question for me that I would get 4WD, but I didn't think I would use it until next winter. Surprise, surprise, picked up my new 4Runner last week and the next day I needed the 4WD! Was heading somewhere new & my GPS took me straight to HORRIBLE gravel roads (we had...

    Back up Camera

I am getting the camera installed next week. Dealer made a mistake and brought in a SR5 without the camera. They couldn't find the gray SR5 with the camera on it & would have been 6 weeks to order the vehicle. So, dealer is installing it next week. Was worried about tearing into my new 4R...

    SR5 pricing/offer help

Picked up my new SR5 last night! Slight issue so I ended up with an extra feature - the sliding cargo tray. Local dealer picked it up from 4 hours away - the gray seemed harder to find - so I didn't have to drive for it. Paid $33,300 which I was fine with if I could get the color I wanted...

    What are these things?

I have an Australian cattle dog (aka blue heeler) mix that really sheds and a Catahoula Leopard Dog that fortunately has very short hair so the shedding is not as noticeable. I take it you have German Shepherds. Interested in how to protect underneath the rear window. Worried my dogs will be...
