Check engine light, VSC TRAC & TRAC OFF lights

Finally went to stealership... but only for diagnostic, it cost me $210 but after 2 years I was done self-remedying. I have done so many peripheral repairs prior to this that never fixed the problem. I finally fixed it. the code was P0441, Incorrect Purge flow, this was first reported at...

    VSC/TRAC OFF Lights

lights be gone... I have done the gas cap, oem at that, throttle body cleaning, spark plug change out, seafoam, marvel mystery, evap smoke test and then I stumbled across the stop lamp switch assembly theory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=QX-KI5WTp2HfwExm&v=Vvnm57URCN4&feature=youtu.be $46...

4th gen 4.0L Throttle Body Cleaning (with pics)

Thanks for your post. I followed what you did but replaced the throttle gasket as well part #22271-0P010 ($12). My 2007 is at 156k and probably never had the TB cleaned in my records. The new gasket was visibly wider than the old one, so maybe some wear, maybe just compression, but I did that...

Spark plugs change on 4th gen V6

The truck may run fine but the plugs are not gapped anymore at .043 at 60k. I too was pushing 60k with some NGK 7787, but will swap out at 30k from here on out. The gap had eroded to .05+ on all of the old plugs. The Coil on plugs and connectors are in great shape at 145k. NGK 7787's are...

VSC TRAC + Check Engine after spark plug replacement

I started with a new gas cap from the stealership, I tightened to 4-5 clicks after every fill up and it went away. Mine has 145,000 miles and is in good form.

Wheel bearings - should I replace both or just the bad one?

Thanks for the advice, I'm just going to do the one side, and maybe I get another 50k from the other side

Rear end howl at all speeds

Differential got rebuilt... Final update...my bearings were done, magnetic plug had shavings all over it, fluid was dark, bad. I'd have to say this is on me for not flushing the differential fluid at 70k, I put it off and forgot about it. It cost me $1k I'm not as technically & mechanically...

4th Gen Rear Wheel Bearing DIY

The stealership I go to get diagnosed is charging $900 for labor alone, so perhaps a $1400 dollar job - both bearings though. I will try and get a good part list and take to a mechanic to do the work - maybe $550, for me that's a win.

Rear end howl at all speeds

Sounds like my problem... Reply to Greif07 I never have added or changed out the differential in front or rear, but after a tire rotation and brake job, I got the howl sound that was 2 months ago. I have eliminated the diff. fluid as the problem. I believe it to be my bearings, specifically...
