I believe both need to be replaced. Probably original and the boots look a mess. But still wondering about the rear in this situation. I’m pretty sure all bushings in the front need to be swapped. It’s just odd I’m hearing the same knock on the same side front and back.

Have you considered doing it yourself? It takes a little bit of time, but it's not that difficult, seals included. It's the difference between $300 and in your case $1200.

Just get some cardboard and map it out how you'd like it. I definitely recommend making sure you have enough headroom.
