    Fair Price for a 97 SR5

ARC, Thank you for the input. I put up an ad for the 5500 and am still getting emails about it right away. I noticed how high the market in CO was by looking around. Also I'm seeing Gen 3's for 6,000+ that have way worse interiors and an extra 100K miles on top of mine. Thanks for the input

    Fair Price for a 97 SR5

Alright so I ended up putting a new muffler and tail pipe on, old one could not be plugged and the tail pipe broke off from the muffler. Also did both CV boots. The more I am thinking about this with the brand new tires, bilstein shocks/struts, all of the suspension and front end work I just...

    Fair Price for a 97 SR5

Anyone ever have a hole in a muffler before? I haven't been able to see any hole. I was driving the other day, and hit a bump with a bunch of gravel and chunks of ice on the road. Right after the bump all of the sudden my car sounded like it had a shitty cheap exhaust on a stupid car. The noise...

    Fair Price for a 97 SR5

Maybe around $4,000 OBO considering the CV might need to be replaced.... The muffler is just a noise issue, it hasn't effected how the car runs.

What is this Grease and where is it coming from? Need some help

Yep, that is what I was thinking. I had to snap those pictures in a suit and tie and I've been in my office since. Just getting a few minutes to read up on this issue. From what I am hearing it seems like CV boots are not a difficult fix. I was planning on putting the truck up for sale this...

What is this Grease and where is it coming from? Need some help

Was driving home yesterday, 25mph went over a hump at a cross streets, when the front suspension compressed I heard a clunk. Parked and looked around the front right tire and there is a ton of tan colored grease like substance sprayed everywhere in the wheel well. Looks like it is definitely...

    Time for new shocks!!

Curious about this myself. I do ride trails, but only for camping and hunting in Colorado so nothing to intense. I need new shocks and am thinking of going with the 4600's for daily driving. Anyone have any feedback about how these compare to the stock or cheap Monroe's?

Front End work / alignment question

So does replacing the Guide require an alignment? I guess to put it simply, should I wait to get an alignment until I replace the guide? I am not sure if I will need a new guide, everything might be nice and tight after I replace all the other stuff today. But I am trying to plan for the...

Front End work / alignment question

I am replacing my LCA bushings, LBJ's, ITRE's and OTRE's today but I do not have the steering rack guide bushing yet. Couldn't find the part quick enough and today is the day I have to do the work. I already did the steering rack bushings as well. My question is this: Do you need to get an...

Thanks alot for the feed back you gave, that is really helpful. I am planning on doing the radiator, water pump/timing, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, spark plugs & wires in a month or two when it gets warm again. This job is kind of out of necessity... Stuff is loose, its getting looser, I...
