The only real way to not make a mess is a small funnel and a length of hose, position the funnel in the LCA and run the hose close to the drain plug. More of a hassle than its worth in my opinion though. Where abouts in boulder are you?

There should be 3 wires coming off your new lights, or whatever type of plug they have. 1 ground, 1 positive for white, 1 positive for amber (which should override white if your lights are wired the same way)

I ran an amazon bar mounted to my bumper (aftermarket) for like 2 years till someone tried to steal it and broke one of the mounts. If you have a 96-98 I would suggest modifying your grill like the Satohsi style and mounting it to that. I have an amber/white bar there now and dont have any issue.
