no, i wouldn't think i would need one on a public highway. and even in the rough i have managed to get through , with the gadgets it got through old logging trails easily that my old 3rd gen SR5 struggled with , but the whinch is mainly just peace of mind your fine without one until that one...

my 5th gen here are a few pics of my 5th gen trail. had it about 5 months now its proving to be a great truck.

how you finding them? mine are shaking like hell at 100k had them fitted with new fuel rims on my 5th gen ...had them balanced 4 times i am now having the stocks put back on.

Any one know of a company thats making winch front bumper / trail guards for the 2010 Trail Edition, i have contacted all the suppliers i know and no one has them as of yet. im planning a trip to the Arctic Circle and Alaska in June would like to get bumper winch and sliders for then any help...
