I’ve got a 2019 that’s been in Central Texas its whole life, so no salt exposure. Just noticed some pretty noticeable rust on the passenger-side A-pillar. Took a closer look and now I’m seeing small rust spots popping up under the paint on the hood and roof too. Is this a common issue?

Traded in a 2015 trail premium with 60k miles for a 2019 trd off road premium for $12k out the door in Texas.

This is somewhat 4runner related since I pull my boats occasionally with the 4Runner but mostly with the Tacoma. The Tacoma does the job but only good for short distances and off the major highways lol. 4Runner has a little more torque for pulling but tends to float around at highway speeds...

That's basically it. Just a little bit of wet sanding. Don't go crazy or you will burn through the paint. I would definitely not recommend on newer vehicles. Only on old beaters.

Got bored and did the front bumper too since it had clear coat issues. I know it's not a Toyota but at least you can see my 4runner and fj in the background lol.
