A-Pillar Rust Issues?

I’ve got a 2019 that’s been in Central Texas its whole life, so no salt exposure. Just noticed some pretty noticeable rust on the passenger-side A-pillar. Took a closer look and now I’m seeing small rust spots popping up under the paint on the hood and roof too.

Is this a common issue?

with that year vehicle, salt climate or not, that paint shouldn't be rusting like that. this looks defective especially if its in multiple spots
