Drive plate problem I have managed to solve the problem. By taking a number of measurements I have determined the the plate needs to be dished away from the block to get the correct clearance for the torque converter

Drive plate problem I mean drive plate as it has auto trans and torque converter bolts to drive plate and acts as flywheel.

Can somebody adsvise the correct way around for the drive plate on my yn130 89 4 runner. I replace the drive plate (old one cracked) and I am getting a clacking noise from that area. I fear I may have install plate around the wrong way. I have recently rebuilt the engine and transmission.
