Not again! And it's happening again. Last time the dealer fixed it. I don't know how.

Car is fixed, it was a "wiring issue" with the remote start, something the installers were familiar with. It appears to be okay now, for now.

I agree and those are my thoughts exactly! Hopefully it can be fixed on Tuesday.

The dealer couldn't find anything wrong with the Toyota parts of the car, and they have to have the company that installed the remote start check that. Apparently a 3rd party installed it, even though it was done through the dealer. They do believe that the problem is with the remote start...

FYI, the remote start they installed is the Voxx AS-9234E.

The remote start is still installed. I guess I should have said where it IS installed instead of WAS. ;-)

The dealer installed it, and according to them it is included in my extended warranty since they installed it. I'm glad it wasn't doing this on my 4 hour drives last weekend!

It started about a month ago. I bought the car on 9/1 and the dealer installed remote start the day after I got it. I'm not 100% sure that's where the problem is of course, just a theory!

Intermittently I get this problem. It seems to be related to the lock buttons inside. What happens is when I touch the brakes, I get this clicking and blinking for 30 seconds, then it stops until the next time I touch the brakes. If my headlights are on, nothing flashes but it still clicks...

My understanding is that they already quit making them. A local dealer has 6 Silver SR5 Premiums, quoted a price of $35,748 including freight. Sounds like a good deal to me, but we have to see what they give me for trade-in on my 2004.
