I've got a 7/4 pin connector (aftermarket) and the wiring is just wired inline with the appropriate light in the rear. No converter box.

I went in and replaced my rear shoes. Got everything buttoned up and used the e-brake method to adjust them. The question is: with this method can you over tighten them? If they're "self adjusting" would they loosen to the proper spec?
