Quick question... Do the 2010 Trail head and tail light assemblies fit the 2010 SR5s?

Been a couple months as well as a set of new tires, all balanced correctly, and shimmy is still gone.

I tried, he couldn't seem to grasp that they would fit. "But... the part number is different..." "Yes, but they will fit." "Yeah but... the part number..." "Nevermind."

Keep your service receipt. If they start to oxidize, take it in and make them replace them again. They lose.

LOL! I asked if I could just take them and do it myself, but then I'd have to have paid for the parts instead of the labor. :D

WOW! I'm sorry that happened to you but thanks for posting the pics. I've had a couple of friends/family members rag on me for the 4Runner (mostly because it's a Toyota *rolls eyes), and I'm going to show this to them. Dibs on the front emblem :P

Glad to see your dreams come true! This sort of confirms for me why my local dealerships keep trying to buy my 4Runner back. I know it's also a sales tactic, but they've both said there is a high demand for used 5th gens in good condition.

I got them replaced. The dealership paid for the parts (over $500 for headlight assemblies? what even) and I paid for the labor, so it wasn't too bad.

I didn't want to threadjack. I suppose it was definitely on topic though, so... I'm sorry.

I called and informed the service department of the new TSB that's out. They called me back and said that since I'm over 36K miles that they would cover either the labor or the parts, whichever is the greater amount. Does that sound ok to you all? I figured I should get some outside opinions...

Unless you plan on shuttling soccer teams around all the time, I'd say no, they aren't worth it. A lot of factors will play into it: How many kids do you have? How often do you find yourself "shuffling" people around to other vehicles ("We have to take 2 cars"). How often do you find yourself...

Understandable. :) I called and explained the situation. The warranty administrator is going to call back. There's no record of me talking to them about it before, because it was over the phone and I didn't have the work done. Hopefully they'll take care of it anyway. If not, there's another...

I didn't pay for it to be done. I knew it was a defect so I turned them down. I'm always calm and collected when I talk to people, though, no worries.
