So I was able to test the TPS and it checked out good but looking at it the dashpot is missing the cap along with the filter so would that make it be the dashpot then? would missing the cap and inners make that much of a difference?

umm good question I am not sure but I will find out.

Thanks for the input, I saw this stuff at the auto store to seal your gaskets, you drain your coolant and then cycle this stuff threw then put coolant back in it. Anyone herd anything about if it works? Might be a quick fix for a few months... but will probably start using the valvoline
