New here and have a few questions...?

So I have been trying to look around before I asked the questions and got the standard "did you google it?" ha ha. I have a 94 3.slow 4x4 auto trans and I just got it a few weeks ago. Has some issues with it that need atttending but I have had driving issues too that I can't figure out. Upon first start up it idles fine, but once it's warmed up after driving a little once I come to a stop still running fine. As soon as it goes into park it does one of two things. It will go into a high idle around 2k or it will "wave" idle ranging from 15-17k and doesn't go away until it's turned off. Any ideas? Could it be the dashpot? or TPS? I don't know where to start but I work a lot and I don't have a lot of problem solving time. Any ideas are welcome. Also just a random question, if I wanted to do LC coils do I need to buy different suspension stuff ie. shocks etc.?

Don't think that'd be the dashpot, but TPS is definitely a possibility. Mine idles a little high too but that's because I have the timing advanced a little for better performance. As of the suspension, yes, you'll need new shocks. I can't remember the extended length you need for the rear, but 4crawler has an awesome right up on the whole BJ Spacer and LC Coil lift, I'll try to find the link I used to have it. @fo'runnin' may know off the top of his head I know he did a lift just not sure if it was the LC coils or just spacers

So I was able to test the TPS and it checked out good but looking at it the dashpot is missing the cap along with the filter so would that make it be the dashpot then? would missing the cap and inners make that much of a difference?

dash pot cap & filter just a wad of fiber, like a ciggy filter, and a snap cap with that vents. Cant imagine it does anything but keep the dash post from clogging up, dash pot just slows down de-throttle to prevent a stumble (?).
That said, if yours is a dusty mess who knows

Whole thing is an easy junk yard part but often in partial condition for some reason. Go to a big yard or one with a fresh 4R and you should score.

FYI there is a same type filter on that RPQ vacuum switch on the front pass. corner of the engine
