does anyone have any tips for how to get to the tuff end of the fuel filter?

My fuel milage is terrible, usually around 10mpg. The '95 3.0 is really sluggish and sputters all the time. 120,000 miles, fuel filter has never been changed. Has anyone changed theirs? I can't get to the side of the filter closest to the front of the car, there's a chassis bar in the way or...

I need help removing the fuel filter on my 95. Can someone who's done this tell me some tricks? The side of the line that's after the filter (closest to front of car) is impossible to get off, you can't get a wrench up in there, any hints?

You're right, only using 4 ports for exhaust flow on a single turbo set-up wouldn't produce huge numbers. I dunno. You'd estimate about $500 tops for a manifold, $700 tops for a turbo. Fabricating intercooler pipes isn't expensive unless you get a single piece aluminum pipe. Does anyone else...

OBD I can still be tapped into to find just about as much information. I just have no clue where the pinouts are on 4runners opposed to 1st gen DSM's (90-94). Do you know where the pinouts are on a 95 4runner?

Datalogging does so much more than just air fuel ratio though. EGT gauge helps, but checking all of the engines vitals is so much better by using a datalogger, especially on a 10 year old car.

I have tried "liquid wrench" (yellow can). Is there something else that may work better?

God, you're right. I didn't even think that my 4runner could be THAT OLD! Well, have any 95 or lower 4runner users logged their car? Or found out how?

I'm new to 4runners but have a lot of experience with DSM's (Eclipse, Talon). Are the older gen 4runners OBDI or II? Is there a way to get into the ECU to check the A/F ratio and such? My fuel delivery is really bad and I'm trying to figure out what my ratio is like.

The pics don't come up for me, is anyone else having this problem? My 4runner's got 138,000 miles and REALLY needs this done, fuel delivery sucks, especially at low RPM's!

I can't get off the line going in or the one coming out of the fuel filter. They're completely rusted on, I can't break them. Any suggestions?

I don't think I'm getting enough good fuel to the injectors, so I bought a fuel filter from Advanced Autoparts. How did you get the old one off?! It's impossible.
