I've been meaning to write up my install and a review on the unit. Maybe I'll try to get that done today. I love it though. Awesome unit that is 10 times better than any touch screen head unit and years ahead.

The parrot asteroid smart is an Android touch screen head unit. Until now, steering wheel controls in 4runners weren't compatible.

Parrot just came out with a new update (2.1.4) and apparently they worked with metra because now there is an adapter available (AX-SWC-PARROT) that will adapt the metra ASCW-1 to the parrot asteroid. This is great news for us 4runner owners with steering wheel controls and a parrot asteroid...

I think I'm gonna have to put this project on hold. This system is pretty complicated and I don't have the time or funds at the moment to replace it.

I'm looking to replace my factory nav in my 08 limited with an aftermarket unit. Anyone have any experience with the install? What parts and adapters do I need?

There are a few threads out there on this topic. Its definitely not plug and play unless you already have nav. You need a GPS antenna (ebay 20 bucks for oem), an optional back up camera, and the mic which I would include. Pre 06's don't have the wiring for the mic as Bluetooth hadn't come out...

This filter is typically sold new for around 50 bucks shipped. Would you take 40 shipped?

I had those tires on my tacoma. They were great. Zero road noise, ride really smooth and still a fairly aggressive AT tire.

Lol. I just noticed the sticker on it that says not to use it as a cup holder.
