Anyone replaced factory nav with aftermarket in 06+?

I'm looking to replace my factory nav in my 08 limited with an aftermarket unit. Anyone have any experience with the install? What parts and adapters do I need?

You can pick your choice of Head unit. I prefer Pioneer. You will then need either a regular Toyota harness or if you have jbl you will need either a PAC TATO or Metra TYTO harness as that is needed to turn on the jbl amp with an aftermarket headunit. Other than that you will need a dash kit which you can order from just about any audio website. To find out exactly what dash kit you need go to Metra's website and enter your exact vehicle and it will give you part numbers for the kit. However you can't order directly from Metra unless you are a retailer so I would suggest using the search function on Crutchfield to purchase the kit from there. For the PAC TATO which is the harness I have, it retails at about $110 but search I believe Newegg and you can find it for around $50. Hope this all helps.
