I have the crappy Dunlops on my 04 and I have a vibration that I can't seem to get rid of. The wheels have been balanced on a Hunter machine with the adapter plate. Can the tires themselves be causing the vibtration? The vibration starts at 60-65 mph.
There are no special tools for prying up the trim panels. Just take your time and you will be fine. It was intimidating for me at first when I took all the panels off but there's really nothing to it. If you can get your hands on a repair manual from the dealer it will show you how to do...
I have been told that the AI kit and the Metra kit would not fit in a Limited. I was also told by a rep at AI that the AI kit would not fit the 04 model sport. I guess I proved him wrong because their kit fit in my 04 sport. I just didn't like the fit and quality.
I am making this post from my personal experience in replacing the HU in my 2004 Sport. I ordered the Alpine cda 7995 from Crutchfield and they gave me the American International install kit. I used the kit at first but was not happy with the quality or the looks. The pocket was warped and did...
You can buy an adapter to make the steering wheel controls work but it costs like $60 and I didn't think it was worth it. I like the blue lights on the Alpine. They are a bit bright if you don't adjust it a little. Thjere is a feature on the HU that allows you to do this.
I do not have any photos of the speakers installed with the door panel off. However, I am planning on installing some sound deadener soon and will update the site then. I did have the JBL system. It was ok but not loud enough or enough bass for me.
You will have to use line level outputs. I have heard that Stinger makes a really good one. I think it even has line adjusters but I'm not sure. I hate that stock HU's do not have rca outputs.
I ended up buying mine from Limbaugh. They beat the lowest price I could find. Are you doing 3000 or 5000 mile oil changes? The manual says 5000 but I have always done them at 3000.
The net is designed to fit over the double decker cargo unitwhen it is flat or up. . The hooks attach to the rings just behind the rear seats. The other 4 attach underneath the cargo unit. Lift up on the unit and feel underneath and you will find 4 hooks to attach the net. Hope this helps.
