10.9 inches ground clearance? If true, this would be an inch more than the 4Runner and 2 inches more than the LC250. Makes me hope the claimed 8 something inches for the LC250 are not true in the end and it gets more ground clearance.

If the GX really was 83 wide, raptor lights would be required by DOT. But it’s not and hence it doesn’t have those lights from factory.

409hp and 479lb-ft are not the GX numbers. Thos are the numbers of the current LX600. I think you misread Carmaker1's post as he was clearly naming those numbers as the LX600 ones.

You will have to wait till end of 2024 or early 2025 to buy a 6th generation 4Runner. It has not been released yet and there aren't even any spy photos. As it looks now 6th Gen will be revealed some time in 2024 as a 2025 model.

That 4th gen V8 is no exception to underpowered Toyotas - they could have used a proper V8 like in the Land Cruiser.

I spend a lot of time on trails in remote areas in northern Maine, some of them require to crawl in 4LOW - I honestly never thought I could do this in an Explorer or BMW X5 instead of my 4Runner. As the previous poster said - those vehicles have a different purpose and Toyota already makes...

So basically, make it a Highlander?

2022 is 5th generation 4Runner. This is the 6th generation section for a future, yet to be released 4Runner.

Not sure where he is going with that. The 4Runner is ONLY sold in the Americas. No right hand steering 4Runner exists for an Asian market.

One of the reasons it took two months to get the first reply might be posting this in the 6th generation section. Current 4Runners are 5th generation.

Wait till you try the PRO suspension with Fox shocks. Even more planted in fast curves than KDSS and smooth over rough terrain.

Summer tires are for Highlanders. Please don’t put non all terrain/off-road tires on a 4x4 - looks ridiculous.

As it looks now 2024 will be the first model year of 6th Gen…so better wait for MY25 or 26 for improved reliability.
