Best way to add Kill Switch for when Top is Off

I've wanted to add kill switches as well but I am not a wiz with electrical stuff and the last thing I want to do is screw up my 4runner...

    Help

Maybe some type of baffle that should be affixed to the underside of the valve cover? Some valve covers have baffles where you would have an oil fill cap or other access port for engine emissions. The code 52 is for the knock sensor.

Starter Issue - Grind/loud pop after engine fire

I get that same noise on my 94 also with the 22re. If I can time the release of my key from the starting position just as the engine cranks/starts then the noise does not occur. It sounds like the starter just doesn't disengage from the flywheel in time?

    2nd gen light bar?

I was thinking of mounting the lights in front of the grill....like yours except I don't have an aftermarket bumper/mounting surface. Thanks for the input. Nice 4runner too!

    2nd gen light bar?

Anybody know of a simple and clean bolt on light bar for a 2nd gen 4runner? I'd like something that can accommodate 3-4 lights.

are free wheel hubs simple bolt on ?

Yes it is just a simple bolt on. You don't even need to take off the wheel. I just replaced my '94 4runner add system with warn premium hubs. http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/wrn-32132f0-pn28761.pdf It's so easy, I'd help install 'em for you for free if you live in the...

Why did you go for the 2nd Gen?

I prefer the 2nd gen. with a 2nd gen you get a modern look inside and outside. I like the drop down tailgate with the 2nd gen HOWEVER, if the window motor fails then you are screwed. With the 3rd gen you would still be able to use the lift hatch if the rear window motor failed. I also like...

Did you try to shift out of 4x4 in forward and reverse? Sometimes if not on a slick surface things can bind up.

Help!!! Trying to avoid a lemon....

The first issue sounds like you got some water in the distributor cap. Take of the cap, spray a light coating of wd40 in the cap and wipe/dry it out with a rag. Not sure on the t case...

    wet floors update...need advice

Good news! I found the leak. There is no grommet on the radio antenna wire coming through the fire wall. It just so happens that the antenna wire goes right through the path of the cowl drainage, the water hits the wire and hitches a ride right into my 4runner. Now for the fix... should I just...

    wet floors update...need advice

how do I inspect the cowl drainage? I took the 4runner to a window shop today and coincidentally they just had a customer with the same problem. they turned on the hose and ran water into my cowl (between the windshield and the hood). water started to leak in the problem area almost immediately...
