    so it happened it finally happened.... I just knew something was off, even though I swapped it once before and nothing happened I decided to try it once more. this time I completely pulled down all the wiring and re-routed everything. once I re-routed everything, all the wires lined up perfect...

    OK so here is my truck sorry the pictures not the best.. but the blue tape is the driver side of the truck... you can see the black and green switch. It looks like my blue switch is flipped or am I crazy? im using the other picture posted on here to compare

    One more thing to add...... when using the multimeter some wonky stuff happened.... The green switch when shifted into position the ohm level would start at like 25.8 ohms and slowly drop down all the way down 5.0 the black switch when shifted into position would start at 15.8 and slowly drop...

    so today did some more troubleshooting...... I unplugged each switch and jumpered the female end connector....... When shifted in 4wd hi nothing happened, no light came on and no 4wd engaged. So what i did next, was use the multimeter to figure out if im getting readings from the switch when...

    Ok so I ended up pulling out the other 2 switches I have not replaced yet and I think those are good also because when I check for continuity when switch is depressed I get a .1 reading. My understanding is when checking for continuity the reading should be closer to 0 when checking...... now...

    So I replaced 84222-35110 and it didn't work......... I have tested in a open area but in the driveway I was unsuccessful..... Should I replace the 2nd switch?

    @the durk for reference the part # for the switch I purchased was 84222-12010. I did some more troubleshooting today under the hood.... 2wd engine running I have vacuum on vsv from one side.... 4wd hi engine running, the other side on the vsv did not switch and have vacuum. No light and 4wd...

    thank you TheDurk I was able to locate the position switch. I ended up ordering one cost was 17$. the picture shows 2 switches on the passenger side. what i will do when i get it is pull one at a time and test the switch if its bad i will swap it. I rather break them loose when i have a new one...
