:beer: Thanks! I got them loose, I just needed to step away and come back to it. Now everything is disconnected and I'm struggling to get the transfer case out. I think it's because of the shift lever. This is a Trail, so the 4wd is operated by a lever, and I think it's getting in the way of...

So far so good, but how do you undo the wiring? Man, that is tucked away and hard to get to.

Yep, I did that. Drained a small amount of fluid out, replaced the crush washers, and filled it back up. There was not much fluid left - glad I caught it when I did.

Here's one zoomed out a bit. The area with the fresh fluid is right above the exhaust in this image. You can't see the leak, but you can see the joint where it is coming from - its the vertical line in the center of the pic. In a rush right now but will check again in a few days and grab...

Does this one help? There is definitely fresh fluid there, and I couldn't find it anywhere else. I'll look again tomorrow morning.

Can any of you tell where this leak may be coming from, or where to look to determine where it is coming from? I checked the transfer case fluid when I found it and was quite low. I've since filled it up and am hoping to tackle the job myself soon. Thanks!

Sorry to resurrect this zombie thread, but I just discovered an issue that I believe is this transfer case seal. Hoping the more experienced among us could take a look at these images and give some guidance. A few shots from the driver's side and a few from the passenger's.

Finally got the LFD fairing installed. I didn't have the hardware on hand to get it done before a long road trip, but I have tested it a few times on the freeway and it cuts noise significantly up to ~85MPH. I removed the crossbar to add the fairing, and it only took 15 minutes or so. Agreed...
