Interior trim removal Also have a hatch that won't open. Any tricks to getting the interior trim off so I can get to the mechanism?

Anyone have any suggestions for removing this chrome nut when it won't budge? I started by tapping, then effectively banging, all to no avail. I quadruple checked myself that I was banging in the correct direction. I'm tunes-less and tired of changing CDs every morning for my commute! Thanks.

Similar problem with my Latch My rusty latch started acting up a couple of years ago but I would manually open and close it and I was OK with that. Now the blast of cold winter air we got here in December appears to have helped to rust shut (but in the open position). The latch is 'stuck'...

I had my hitch removed so I could get it powder coated. I couldn't break the nuts loose so I had my local garage remove the hitch during an oil change. They said some of the bolts were broken and gave me these two 'straps?' I'm not sure where these go as far as the hitch and the frame are...
