ID this part of my hitch?

I had my hitch removed so I could get it powder coated. I couldn't break the nuts loose so I had my local garage remove the hitch during an oil change. They said some of the bolts were broken and gave me these two 'straps?'

I'm not sure where these go as far as the hitch and the frame are concerned. I'm trying to find replacements for these but I'm having a hard time asking for parts that I don't know.

Appreciate the help. I'm a first time caller but have been looking for a good forum. BTW, it's from a 1996 and is a class III hitch, I believe.

that piece go inside the frame. i dont know what it is called.

Yep, had the same thing on mine too. Sorry, don't know what they are called either.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I spoke to the garage today and they explained that these slide into the frame rail, then the connecting bolts come up through the hitch and tighten against these welded on nuts.

I called a local hitch place and they seemed to be familiar with this type of part. I'm planning to stop there on Friday and see what they know and if they have them. Hopefully they can put a name to these and, better yet, put some new ones in my hand before boating season begins here on Lake Erie.
