    EGR Temp Sensor Diagnostics

    EGR Code 71 Problem

The modulator is merely a filter to keep carbon out of the EGR mechanism valve. My guess is you have the vsv hoses on the egr & fuel regulaor mis-routed. These hoses get mixed up when the plenom is removed and the pcv is under there. code 71 and vacuum lines. - Page 2 - YotaTech Forums

    93 V6 Rough Idle

Buy some CRC throttle body cleaner and clean it, the IAC, Modulator filter, MAF, and adjust the idle screw on throttle body to 750-850 rpms at idle. If you pull the rubber hose off the EGR valve and it smooths out, you may have to look at the vacuum hose routeing diagram thats on driver side...

    New Owner and Frustrated.

Have a radiator shop test the system for gases. Check that EACH vacuum hose is properly routed. Buy...

Smell fresh gas at every stop.

Vacuum hoses routed wrong? Bet ya had recent work? The 3 under plenom center passenger side vac hoses from vsv's to those 3 tubes get mis-re-attached. two are egr, other is fuel regulator. thats where the smell comes from. Poor gas mileage and fuel smell. I'll include a link...
