    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

The WB o2 sensor you'll want to have after the collector tubes come together into one so you can monitor both cylinder banks. Where that EGT probe was installed was only monitoring the passenger cylinder bank.

    Black798's 98 limited build thread

A few weeks back I took the 4runner out to browns camp in Oregon for a weekend of wheeling. It was an absolute blast, met a ton of great people and saw some old friends. For the most part the 4runner ran problem 3 aside from losing a rear brake caliper and a broken charge wire from the...

Pics of a 3rd Gen with a GFC Roof Tent on it?

I've got one. Previously had the super lite and upgraded last year. I have several friends working at gfc and to their knowledge I am one of like 2 people they know of that have put the platform on a 3rd gen. Tbh the roof is not solid enough to properly support the tent. But I will remedy that...

    Transgo 340-hd2 install and reveiw

Stock ecu is still in control of the shifting. I havent ironed out all of the kinks yet which I think are largely being caused by not having a working speed input to the gauges that feed the stock ecu. So for example right now the truck is stuck in first gear untill the trans shifts based off...

It was an awesome feeling finally getting it to work. The first 3 days in Moab were so much of a roller coaster and I was about ready to throw in the towel and put the truck back on the trailer for the rest of the week so the first run on cliffhanger I was on cloud 9. The width and height was...

    Black798's 98 limited build thread

Yes and no. It functions as it is, but there's a ton of little gremlins I am chasing out of the steering and brakes currently. But I think by the end of summer it should be pretty dang ironed out

The "issues" I had with the supercharger are just inherent with all of them and every truck I have driven. The supercharger itself is way undersized for this engine so no matter what you due its incredibly inefficient and makes a lot of heat. Even when they're wound up all the way up you'd be...

The last day of wheeling we decided to run Kane Creek. Its definitely not a crazy hard trail but it is one of my favorites and the main obstacle, hamburger hill, and the exit at highway 191 are always changing so it keeps it interesting. First major obstacle is the squeeze rock. There was a...

The next day we got a super late start and hit the Pritchett Canyon trail head around noon. The trail is said to take 8 hours which is exactly what it took us. But that 8 hours doesnt include the 2+ hours of dirt road driving that it takes to get back to the highway from the mouth of the...

    Black798's 98 limited build thread

So I did end up getting the truck done in time to make my Moab Trip, at least sort of. By some miracle RCV shipped my axle shafts out of the blue and they got here just in time to get the front end buttoned up the day before we were leaving. So with absolutely zero test time I drove the...

    Black798's 98 limited build thread

Its been a rough couple of weeks for this build since the last update. I have been fighting supply chain issues like crazy and found some pretty big issues that I am working through on the build. First up was the driveshafts. The plan originally was to replace all the joints with 1310 series...

    If your SAS Lets Talk

I am still doing final assembly so I can't speak for it's handling characteristics. But comparing it to the tk1 bar I got in the rear the arms are significantly thinner and the bar is also a much smaller diameter. But based off what I have read that should be sufficient to keep the suspension...

    If your SAS Lets Talk

Sounds fairly similar to what I ended up building on mine. My wms in the rear is 61.75 and the front is 63. So wider than stock but not crazy wide, about the width of an 80 series. Still tucks the 37s up in the fenders nicely. I spent the better part of a year designing the front and rear...
