    Knock Sensors and harness DIY

I'm not sure about the harness. If we're talking strictly the harness and not the sensors I'd say OEM is not as crucial since it's just wires and connectors. Like everyone says though the OEM quality is usually much better so I would try to get an OEM replacement if you can. I don't personally...

Awesome man, glad to hear it. I was hoping it was still coming in handy for people after all these years lol. [emoji106]

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Per the illustration on Pg. 977 of the FSM it actually looks like 13 lbs...ha sorry to confuse things more. Check that page out. Thanks for the feedback for part #s too, will throw those in when I get a chance.

Very nice...like stated in the convo earlier though, the 25$ may work but they are fake I'm pretty certain. I bought a set for 25$ recently that are supposedly "Refurbished Denso" just because I was curious but they were lighter than my old OEM ones and were hollow through the center of the...

    3rd Gen Dash Clock Fix

Like others have said...I took mine apart that wasn't working and couldn't find any cracks or degradation that I could see in the springs or anything. Soldered the pins on anyway and removed the springs and plugged it in with no fix. Then just for hell of it I took it back apart and melted every...

    Knock Sensors and harness DIY

Very happy to hear about your success! $2000?! holy crap...That's nuts. Yeah hindsight's 20/20 but I guess doing injector o-rings right off the bat is best. I guess it's possible to do everything without pulling them but then you'd have that whole manifold flopping on-top of everything...

Nice! I need to ask the magic question now...which sensors were in there and what did you replace them with? And your welcome, the reward of hearing how it's helped others out was well worth the effort. Thanks!

    Rear axle seal failure question

Yes makes perfect sense I'll have to try it again. For some reason though I remember the axle housing was preventing me from doing it that way, but I'm going to give that another shot first and take a pic of what I mean. If you get a chance to look I'm interested to know what size (mm) you used.

    Rear axle seal failure question

Was using the side of the seal driver that has the tapered edges so that it wouldn't contact the axle tube where the axle housing reduces right where the seal sits. And I'm sure the shop would have no issue moving it for me if they can. Ill have to see if he has a bearing splitter like you did...

    Rear axle seal failure question

I'm thinking more along the lines of deformed seal, that's a good thought. I don't think I could pull it back any without more deformation so I'm going to order another. Was one of the only things I didn't get a warm fuzzy about so I checked for sound by tapping a good bit. Didn't think I did it...

    Rear axle seal failure question

Yes [emoji20] I don't believe anything can move though and as I tightened the 4 axle nuts down afterwards, it seemed to pull everything in just a smidge more which would give a little more surface. I'm going to keep a close eye on it but I think if I have enough bearing play to make that seal...
