i would also recommend a 2" spacer lift. I'm sure you can buy the kit with new shocks for around $300. i just helped my friend install one on his jeep - real easy to install yourself (neither one of us had ever done anything like that before) it won't perform as well as the Old Man Emu (OME)...

cool thanks for the help man. so one more question: if i installed a spacer lift, would that be bad on my shocks since they might have to stretch out another inch or 2? i have Old Man Emu Nitrochargers, but still, would they work w/ the spacer lift, OR would i need sew shocks that can extend...

Hey I have a 98 4x4 with a 2" body lift, and I was thinkin, if I removed the bumpstops from both the front and rear axels, would i get more wheel travel? or would that be extending the stock coil springs too much???

4.88 Gears OK, here's the deal: I have the exact same 4runner as you (to the guy that asked the question starting this thread) - except mine is Limited, but that makes no difference to this. I believe I have 4.56 gears and you do as well. They might also be 4.30's, but it doesn't matter what...
