it works! thanks a lot man. the original RCA cable i had used weird methods of wire insulation and grounding so i couldnt figure out which cable should go to which. bought a basic rca 12ft and it worked perfectly

gibburnz i tried this back in 2013 and got either no video or black and white static on the stereo.. did you use all three wires as Johnny Utah said? or just the two wires indicated by rnb754

All mentioned posts are correct. Make sure you're using top tier gas and maitenance: spark plugs, maybe a new set of spark plug wires/boots if you're still on the original. Everything short of a SC will be potatoes in gains though.

Thanks man.. I was able to fish it out with some finesse, tiny little tweezers, and a magnetic wire pickup tool. I was happy i didnt need to pull the headliner.
