Looks like T-SB-0066-12 is applicable from a post I read on the Tacoma Forum.

4 Wheel Drive light keeps flashing

Good news....got it back. The repair was $650 and was all covered under warranty. I bought the platinum 7 year online for $750....not sure if that covered it or just the existing drivetrain.

4 Wheel Drive light keeps flashing

Well....eventually gave up trying to fix it myself and took it down to the dealer. It was due for the 10,000 service anyway. They did the service and reckoned they could not replicate the 4WD problem and that 'everything was working as designed'. I picked it up, drove 10 yards, put it into 4L...

    Dual Battery Tray Options

I ended up sticking with grounding to the engine behind the dipstick bracket. All tested OK and isolator cuts out at 12.4v as expected.

Multi-Terrain Select & Slip Indicator Lights On

Well I've given up trying to find the problem. I'll take it down to Toyota in the week and see if they can find it.

Just doing the same myself. Where did you end up attaching the earth from the auxiliary battery? I was looking at the dipstick bracket.

4 Wheel Drive light keeps flashing

I read about that trick. Just tried it and also drove about 15 miles and didn't fix it for me either. I did realize I'm actually stuck in 4WD. Switching to low works just fine but nothing for H2.

4 Wheel Drive light keeps flashing

Hey Guys, I had a problem the other day after some heavy off roading. A load of warning lights came on related to traction control and such. From the DTC codes this was traced to a bad speed indicator cable that got stretched. Found others on the forum who had the same issues that pointed me in...

Multi-Terrain Select & Slip Indicator Lights On

I've had the exact same problem. However, I have a different DTC code C1258 which from the manual is 'Open Circuit in Transfer 4WD Position Switch Circuit'. This came up after a hard few days going around Moab. My truck has a 3 inch lift...so have been checking for stretched or broken...

Alert: Riverside CA Dealer refused to check KDSS on lifted Trail

Just realized I never updated this thread with the final solution. The connectors were correct on the pump....it was me just being a dumb ass and not understanding how it clipped on. Toyota HQ (that's how far I went with this) put me in touch with the designer of the pump and he put me straight.

Alert: Riverside CA Dealer refused to check KDSS on lifted Trail

So sorry to hear that. It cost me around $1000 in the end to get it done myself. The funny thing is I found out later that all the Toyota dealers actually do have the pump....they just don't realize what they've got!! The pump is a crazy $2500 but I was super lucky and found one new on Ebay for...
