Thank you very much. I was thinking it was either the ignition switch or the solenoid. I've found the solenoid thanks to your drawing too.

When I start my 98 4 Runner engine, the starter motor does not disengage. I can even stop the engine and remove the key. The starter motor still runs. What's causing this?
