***update*** Swapped out both U joints and found both originals to be dry in a couple of the caps. The pins were beginning the burnish into the stems. Also found a bad wheel bearing on the driver side and swapped the out. No more clicking! For certain it was the front u joint making the sound.

Not fully confirmed. After searching many videos for similar sounds, have a list of possibilities. Although I can’t manipulate the u joint physically, the fluid spray is an indication. I’m also planning on swapping out both front wheel bearings and the parking brakes. Being the u joint May also...

Thanks, but it's not the normal sound associated with CV joints, plus my vehicle is 2WD.

My suspicion is one of the parking brake shoes or hardware, so I've ordered those to replace. The noise started immediately after setting the parking brake and jacking up the front end to check the tie rods.

Resurrecting an old thread. I attempted to tighten the 12mm bolt, but it barely moved an 1/16th inch, and I didn't want to put too much pressure on it. How hard did you have to crank on it?
