Did some more reading on the 5th gen upgrade and decided to go with that. I ordered everything from Rockauto a little while ago. Thanks gimlithepirate for the tip on that. Now I just need to decide what to do about arms. I may go with the 1AAuto upper and lower set.

After doing a quick search about the 5th gen brake upgrade, I may go this route.

Also forgot to ask, what all is needed with a 5th gen brake upgrade? Do the TRD Pro SEMA 17x7's clear the calipers? Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. That set up looks sweet! What size tires are you running. I’m thinking about going with a 255/75/17. I currently have Black FJ trail teams on it now that I would like to put on my 2nd gen Tacoma. So I’m looking at options to replace those on the 4runner.

Those of you that use these wheels on your 4th gens, how close to flush with the fender flares do they fit? Are you using any wheels spacers? Thanks

I can't say for sure. According to wheelers they are different part numbers. If I get chance I'll look into the extended and collapsed lengths.

My set up with the 300 and 599 spring combo gave me about an inch of rake. I would imagine the 505 springs would give you around 3/4" more rake which could assist in carrying weight. My front end ended up level left to right but my rear has always leaned to the left. I used an OME 10mm rear...

Those tapered ends that your coil use are much better. They seat much easier. I'm definitely happy with my decision to go with Dobinsons.
