One of the red coiler over springs on my passenger side front has cracked. I don't now anything about struts. Is this spring available separately that the strut/shock? Is it a separate part number? Can you actually replace these springs, or is there no way to compress the spring to swap them...
Can this feature be disabled? I hate it. I drive in Chicago and if I put my TRD in Park, I want the doors to remain locked until I open one. Don’t want to go to the dealer if I don’t have to, and the Carista app OBD thingy looks like a scam.
If anyone is looking for a 2018 TRD Pro in Calvary Blue, I know of an unspoken for one coming into the dealer I just got mine from. It is due into the dealer in May, the guy who ordered it bought something else. PM me and I will pass along details.
Toyota
I am a little weirded out by all of the electronics on the Lexus. I know the 4Runners have something like 20 plus microprocessors in the car, but the Lexus probably has over 30. My friend has the big Lexus 5-something SUV, and it has its share of electrical gremlins. Radio stops...
Not suprising
I just entered the game with a TRD Pro. It came with a Lifetime Powertrain warranty. The dealer explained that Toyota knew the probability of how many parts would fail on all of the vehicles combined, and just offer it to certain dealers.
iH8Rust
I know in Canada it is very common to have a car's undercarriage sprayed with a type of wax to prevent rust. I have used a product called Noxodol which makes a cavity wax. it has a long plastic wand with a nozzle which you can snake into doors and tailgates, etc.
