    5th Gen For Sale/Wanted Thread

Selling my 2019 TRD Off Road I will be picking up a Tundra towards the end of the month and thus would be parting ways with my beloved 4Runner. Please see below for details on the vehicle, and accessories. My asking price is $45K without some added accessories not included (see below). The...

    New Mexico 4Runner Owners Thread

Wanted to check in to see if any ABQ or NM members visit here frequently. We recently moved to ABQ and would love to connect with Toyo/4R/Overland groups in the area.

KO2 Tires vs Cooper AT3 and Falcon Wild Peak

I've run two sets of C load KO2's (around 50 k miles between the two) on two different vehicles and very recently replaced them on my 4Runner. I was thoroughly satisfied with KO2's but decided to try something new when I made the decision to upgrade to a larger tire a month or so ago. I decided...

Thoughts on getting yearly Rust Check sprayed on

I moved from Texas to the Chicago area last year and was curious about the same. Was convinced when I saw a friend's 80-series up in WI that had been on fluid film for a long time and was holding up extremely well despite its age. It's actually amazing (for someone not from an area with lots of...

Anyone jump from a TRD Pro to a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with 3.6L V6

Same here. A two door Rubicon if I could afford a brand new play truck and lived somewhere, where I didn't have to drive a couple of days to get to places I'm interested in :)

Additional battery time needed AGM G34

If you don't have a 110 outlet in your Garage you should probably buy on of the VB devices. I have a similar situation as I park in an underground garage and don't currently have access to a power source. VB means that I don't have to take the battery into my condo to charge it periodically.

Is it easy to install a dual battery Update last post

I don't know a whole lot about that particular fridge, but you could probably assume that it will be pulling about 40-50 Ah per day and build your bank for that. Again, if you are just looking at overnight trips then a decent AGM starter battery and some solar backup will be more than enough to...

What size fridge (and brand) do you have? Try to see if there is real world data on consumption that you can use to estimate your needs. Better still, try to measure its draw in the real world. I have a 52 L National Luna and some vehicle camp lights. I planned my bank assuming that on average I...

Additional battery time needed AGM G34

The voltage booster you've mentioned is pretty good and perfectly fine to use. I use a different one with two boost settings but they all get the job done. It is as simple as literally pulling out a fuse and adding it instead and you can reverse the process whenever you wish to do so. That said...

Is it easy to install a dual battery Update last post

No need to swap out the alternator. Just buy a voltage booster ( see THIS thread ) or a simple battery tender that has the correct charge profile for AGM ( something like THIS would work fine) and just clamp it to the battery every now and then to get the battery back up. Even if you don't do...

If that's your only draw than a group 34 will suffice. It is lighter than G-27 so you'll save some weight. Northstar and Odyssey are some of the best IMHO (both owned by the same company) with the former being better priced and better value. Just make sure you either get a voltage booster, or...

Many folks here run the Northstar Group 27F as a single large battery. One option is to buy the Tundra battery tray that will fit a 27F. A Group 31 AGM will also fit in the stock location. Depending on what size LED's we are talking about, a simple upgrade to a Group 34 AGM should be more than...

Is it easy to install a dual battery Update last post

Yes sure. Some additional pictures o of the box and the mounting system. The parts that I used: 1) Battleborn 50Ah LiFePO4 Battery 2) Renogy DC-DC (20A) Charger which lives outside of the vehicle (it has user selectable voltage which allows me to get exactly 14.6 into the BB) 3) Blue Sea 6...
