00 4Runner 2.7L 4-cylinder Averaging 20-21 mpg

120K and still running strong. Not the most powerful motor that's for sure, but I'm getting on average of 20-21 mpg.

Narva is a good brand. I use the ultra premium Osram silverstars. Got them off eBay for $25 and they've been serving me quite well. Quailty glass and nice light beam.

Purchased the macneil weatherflectors and so far, I'm pretty happy with them. They fit snug and installation was a piece of cake.

Yep, wiring is a nightmare especially if the previous owner mickey mouse'd everything. I recently picked up a DEI made Python remote start alarm system for my 4Runner. I'm loving it so far. I got it done at a reputable shop who did good work for me in the past. Good luck man..

I like the macneil weatherflectors because they're inchannel. I think they look better because they're flush and OEM. The 3M looks a bit tacky with the adhesive part taped to the window rim part of the door. Plus they might fly off during high speeds; like one person mentioned while driving...

Somehow the owner of this 3rd gen 4Runner got his Scion HU to fit.

It could be done, but it'll probably be very costly. The motor/tranny set itself will probably run about $3k+. Factor in all the parts that will need to make the engine fit, custom engine mounts, custom drive shaft and etc. Also don't forget labor, it'll take a lot of hours to get done...
