I'm more in the center of PA, but I often ride on private land our offroad club has access to in Johnstown PA. Lots of Pittsburgh residents drive out for events if you're looking for a good group of Yota's to wheel with.
Solid axles are favorable under almost all circumstances when riding offroad. The only two downsides are having less differential clearance and ride quality when on road.
