I'd agree w/ you on this, but all 4runners are Japan built. Friday doesn't seem to make the differance there like it does here on the US built Camrys. :biggrin2: As far as your "issues" w/ your truck, ......go get a code pulled from the ECU and start there. Hell, they'll hook it up for free...

I have a set. 6 months old. I took them off and put on a grille guard w/ driving lights. 2 lights (no cracks or scratches), 2 brackets, and a universal wiring harness w/ relay and switch. (I used the harness they came w/ for my new lights since it was already there. :D ) $65 shipped. lmk Bryan

Sorry, I was thinking 2nd gen. I believe you are correct. No stops. Just checked the TSRM and don`t see any listed. I couldn`t be for sure unless I went out and looked @ mine, but it`s pouring rain right now.

very true, you need to have a decent staff @ your local dealer, otherwise, it`s a constant uphill battle....

i`ve worked for toyota for almost 15 yrs now. seeing them day in and out, all models have issues. it`s man made for god sake. not saying anyone`s issues are not legitiment, but it happens. there have been several issues in the past, good and bad, where toyota has taken care of the product...

yes, use only the denso factory plugs. p# 90919-01192. they are roughly $2-3 a plug @ the dealer. 9 out of 10 times, when a 3.4 comes in the the shop (actually any toyota that requires a twin electrode plug) for a misfire code, guess what....non o.e. plugs. there may be a toyota option for the...
