I've got em. Don't have any pix, but they helped the sagging ass a bunch. Still a little low in the rear, but I think they were from the factory. For $90.00 at Advance, you can't go wrong.

It's my understanding that all 2nd gnd 4runners were ADD. The swap is a no brainer, & it WILL increase mileage over the stock flanges. Purchase new star/flange gaskets, & make sure you have a brass punch & 20oz ball peen hammer, & its a 1hr/1bananna job. My 95 is getting 2-3mpg boost since the swap

Yakima made a mount that used the factory roof tracks, & Yak crossbars, they are OOP, but you can find them on CL Ebay, ect. The bars are strong enuf to haul 8 6x6x10 PT timbers on top of my Landcrusher, so that ladder will be no problem!

Nothing in my FSM, about re-torquing. The factory bolts are "torque to yeild", meaning they strech when they are torqued properly, & shouldn't need to be touched.

When I put mine back together, I got the fuel return plumbed into a vacuum port. Sounds like the same symtoms.

Sounds like a bad VSV, if you confirm that, I have a good used unit from my manual hub conversion. PM me if you're interested.

Do yourself a favor, buy a cheap mech gauge, & check the pressure. It might be the sender or the factory guage, but if the pressure is low u need to address it. The pressure will rise with RPM's, but should still be within factory spec.

Watch out for the 5spd popping out of 1st. Shift forks & syncros are weak. 22re's are pretty bullitproof. Other than that, use common sense.

Or for about the same money, you could just take it to a radiator shop & have them hot tank it! Shoot the outside with a rattle can, & if it makes you happy, coat the inside. I'll bet the problem is in the tank.

I don't think it's the synchros/gearset. Mine has been dooing the same thing, if it's the synchros, it should pop out under load, mine will come out after coasting. There is a detent ball/spring that holds the shift shaft in gear, mine were missing. Look under the pass side of the gearbox...

My problem was'nt leaking fuel, the PO didn't bolt the bracket to the filter or the framerail. Had to get 2 wrenches, (19mm & 14mm IIRC) to break the fittings loose. Other than that, & snaking the filter past the obstructions, is should be a 15min job.

That rating is more for liability issues than roof strength. You can blow through 100lbs with 2-3 F/S mountain bikes & some camping gear. The worry is more about vehicle stability with that much load that high above the CG. I carried 10 6x6x12 PT pine timbers on the top of my 88 FJ62 & the roof...

No you can't, without seeing this thread I just did mine this afternoon, & it was a major PITA! The pass torsion bar & parking brake cables are in the way. It can & should be done, but soak the fittings w/ some PB Blaster, & please bolt it back on so the next owner won't have to go through what...
