I swapped a JDM motor into my 2001 last year. I used my old fuel injectors (changed orings). It really wasn't that bad. Took my 2 days working by myself. I also did timing belt, water pump, thermostat, etc... I think I spent around 2k but now I have a motor with 60k miles on it and it runs...

Step 1 is getting an alignment. Anytime you mess with suspension you should get one. I also did a mild lift, less than 2" and I could visually see my tire/road contact had changed. Of course my 2 inch wasn't "lift" because my old suspension was already saggy.

What year is your 4Runner? All the info I saw stated that 6112s are for 2010 - 2018 4runners. 5100s work well on 3rd gens. I myself just did the Tundra TRD coils with 5100's fronts and that got me to 21.5" (hub to fender) and Ill be installing OME 906's in the rear with 0-2" 5100's in the rear...

Yes it does. I used a 2x4 cut to the length of the tranny pan and a floor jack. when I reinstalled the engine I found it helpful to jack up slightly on the tranny to help align the engine with the 2 alignment posts on the tranny.

Yeah, I only bring up the monies to let you know how much I invested in a JDM motor (58k miles) swap for mine. I put in 2200$ for that while you are looking at 2900$ + approximately 500$ in parts for a 4wd 4runner. My original motor had 167k miles on it while yours is just over 200k. Mine...
