When I start the engine from cold, the engine sounds a lot like its supercharged. A belt type "wwwrrrrr" sound. I'v already done the air pump bypass, so I'm not entirely sure what it could be. It goes away when the engine warms up. Any ideas? Its an 07 4.7 4x4. Thanks for the help! :frusty:
My friend had a set of 5th gen trail springs, so I decided to try them out since I was swapping out the shocks and struts anyway. So far I have only done the front with 5100s set at .85. I seem to have gained between 1.25-1.5 inches. Im still debating doing the rear because it has a nice stance...
The brakes on this vehicle are absolute garbage. I finally just put 5th gen brakes on in hopes of some better brakes. I think we should be making a larger issue out of this than a cracked dashboard  . Its a legitimate safety issue where people could get hurt.
Looks great! I just ordered 5100s to run on my stock springs, but I am still trying to figure out which setting I want to set them on. Either .85 or 1.75. You might have swayed me toward 1.75
Thanks guys. I picked up a Cardone shaft from Napa, should be good enough for now. Toyota wanted $500 for a shaft. I couldn't believe it. I'd be willing to pay $250 for an OE shaft but $500 is absolutely outrageous. Thanks for the tip on the tie rods.
